Bettei Shiki (別邸四季) is a collection of luxury villas located in the Nasu Highlands area, Tochigi prefecture.

Surrounded by nature, the resort opened at the end of May 2025 as a new extension to the Glamping B&V grounds located here.

Each uniquely designed villa offers the ultimate escape for groups of up to 8 people. Inside, each villa epitomises the feeling of Wa-Modern design—with spacious, contemporary layouts and fixtures combining perfectly with the warmth and aesthetics of traditional Japanese design. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the spacious lounge with natural light, offering a private view of the surrounding nature.

Outside, each villa boasts its own uniquely shaped pool, with private open-air hot spring bath and private sauna room letting you create your own löyly. Reclining deck chairs and a fire pit let you further tailor the space to your own needs and guarantee a relaxing night under the stars.

Relax on the comfortable sofas while enjoying the view, with a 100-inch wall-mounted TV nearby for added entertainment. Or unwind in one of the Simmons beds spread across two serene tatami-floored rooms. Each property offers 200㎡ of spacious living, thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

Each property’s dining area is home to a Weber Genesis grill, bringing that backyard barbecue vibe to dinnertime and helping you grill to perfection. Guests can choose from one of three courses—Standard BBQ, Premium BBQ and Shabu-Shabu—to enjoy dishes like wagyu sirloin and shoulder cuts from local Nasu Highland beef, as well as scallops, shrimp and seasonal vegetables.

Each villa—Kohaku, Gen, Akatsuki and Aoi—share many similarities but also come with their own distinct look and unique personalities. Aoi also caters more to pet owners, with a 100㎡ dog run beside the property and additional dog-friendly amenities on offer.

About Glamping B&V

Glamping B&V opened in Summer 2023, with its landscape of glamping domes, each one providing guests access to their own private onsen, sauna and bonfire experience, against a backdrop of forested nature and sounds of flowing river water.

Each dome—that sleep up to 8 guests—provides a spacious, yet cosy setting with a custom-designed interior that offer incredible views of the outside nature.

Both facilities share a reception area, where a range of free activities, including making pop corn and wood-chip smoking.

Getting there

By car, it's a 7-minute drive from Nasu IC.

By public transport, it's a 30 min bus ride from Nasu Shiobara Station, and a 10-minute walk from Tashiroyuai Bus Stop. Nasu Shiobara is about 1h10m from both Tokyo Station to the south and Sendai Station to the north (via Tohoku Shinkansen).
