At 11.5 kilometers, Lake Chuzen-ji is the largest mountain lake in Japan. It sits at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, and provides spectacular views. While the area is a touristy town in summer, the winter weather brings out the pure natural beauty in the landscape. Many of the views from Chuzen-ji Temple are breathtaking.
