When I visit Japan, I get to stay in many hotels. I want to see as many places as I can, so I don’t spend much time in hotels and don’t like to waste my money. I try to find budget hotels with a hot spring bath as it’s good for relaxing after a day of walking. I also try to stay in a hotel that is easy to find, mostly not far away from a subway or train station.
I must admit that all hotels I’ve stayed in were clean and comfortable, but few I remember quite well. One of them is Hamanako Benten Resort “The Ocean” in Bentenjima - it was different! It had a mixture of cultures as it was decorated in a Latin American style, but in tune with Japanese traditions. The view from my window to the lake and the ocean was really beautiful.
From the hotel you can walk to the ocean, and I think it’s a good place to stay in summer, though in early April the beach was deserted.
The hotel provides 3-star accommodation with air-conditioned rooms, wireless internet, a coffee bar and a restaurant. All the rooms at Hamanako Benten Resort The Ocean feature a seating area, tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. The bathrooms have a bathtub and a shower and come with a hair dryer. In the evening, guests are able to relax in the lounge bar.
