Birdseye View of Hamamatsu

Views from the Act Tower Observation Desk

One of my favorite things when I travel is to look at the city from above. Being so high up gives me the special pleasure of watching grand views that are impossible to observe on the ground. So, I always take a ride on a Ferris wheel if there is one, or look for an available observation desk. While visiting Hamamatsu, I spotted a very tall building and found out they had an observation deck. On that day, I was late as it was closed at 17:00, but on the next day, I was there at the right time. The weather was bright and the view was spectacular. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see Fuji-san as the view was “smoky” far away.

Hamamatsu Act Tower is the landmark of Hamamatsu city famous for producing musical instruments. It is a 45–storied building, 212 meters tall. The tower complex contains a hotel, different restaurants, shops, bank ATMs, a post office, meeting halls and more.
