Hotel Mystays is a Japanese hotel group with an extensive network covering major cities all over Japan. On my visit to Osaka, I stayed at their Shin-Osaka property, though there are another two Hotel Mystays situated downtown in Shinsaibashi. For its convenience, cleanliness and comfort, I found Hotel Mystays to be an excellent choice for my stay.
The Location
The hotel is situated in Northern Osaka. From Shin-Osaka Station, the hotel is an easy 5-minute walk. This saves vital minutes for visitors on a tight schedule, also making your onward journey hassle free. It was ideally situated for my itinerary, as I was coming from Kyoto Station and Kobe Station was my next stop, both arriving/ departing from Shin-Osaka Station.
Above all, the hotel is well connected to the rest of Osaka. Being just a 5-minute walk from Nishinakajima-minamigata station, you are but 30 minutes away from some of Osaka’s most popular downtown attractions such as Kuromon Market, Ebisu-bashi and Hozenji Temple.
The Room
There are 14 floors in total and I stayed in a standard double on the 12th floor. It was streamlined and clean, coming with added extras such as pyjamas, a fridge, a widescreen TV, green tea and room slippers.
The ensuite was also well-equipped, with a set of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a dental kit. Guests can help themselves to extra toiletries from the baskets in the hotel lobby.
The guest population is fairly international and the hotel staff all speak good English, therefore travelers are unlikely to encounter communication difficulties. Wi-fi is available throughout the building and the login information is provided in your room.
Late checkout is available, but you will need to pay 2,000 yen per hour.
Overall, Hotel Mystays Shin Osaka Conference Center was a very pleasant and convenient place to stay!
