Osaka is not a small city. It requires detailed planning to see its highlights in a limited time. At the same time, a convenient and comfortable place is needed to make the most of exploring the city. The answer to this is HOTEL MYSTAYS Sakaisuji-Honmachi.
I was surprised that it was only a 7-minute walk from Sakaisuji-Honmachi or Kitahama Subway Stations, and it felt even more enjoyable as the surrounding areas were quite lively. A good sign indeed, as it would be easy for me to get around the city.
The hotel building is placed away from the main road, allowing guests to relax away from busy traffic. I was greeted by the hotel’s friendly staff, which made my arrival even more convenient as they checked me in quickly and efficiently.
My room in HOTEL MYSTAYS Sakaisuji-Honmachi was the semi-double type, being a suitable choice for solo travelers. The other 190 rooms include Double (Standard, Apartment, and Apartment Superior), Twin (Standard and Deluxe), and Queen (Superior and Apartment). All room’s interior is well-designed in a minimalistic sense, but not too much so there was a feeling of fitted warmth and comfort. Convenience was a highlight in the modular bathroom, which comes with a complete set of personal items including toothbrush sets and hand soap. Shampoo and body wash are restocked regularly, and towels are changed daily. The best part of the room was when I returned from my long exploration only to find out that everything had been cleaned and felt as fresh as the day I checked in, tempting me to finish my day early and go straight home.
Other services including a 24-hour laundry exclusively for guests as well as a fax machine and photocopier by the reception area. Other amenities such as razors, shaving cream, combs, hairbrushes, and body sponges are available for free at the front rack near the entrance.
These facilities will definitely make you think you’ve chosen the right hotel, but it is the location that brings me back to this hotel on my next visit to Osaka. HOTEL MYSTAYS Sakaisuji-Honmachi stands on a strategic place, with Osaka’s two busiest stations Namba and Umeda only three stations away. In addition, Tennoji can be reached in just ten minutes with the subway, and Osaka Castle is just one stop away to the east—you can even walk to Nisinomaru Garden if you want.
HOTEL MYSTAYS Sakaisuji-Honmachi knows how to make its guests’ stay pleasant yet effective at the same time. Thanks to the hotel's easy access, I could even make three visits to Dotomburi and still had spare time to visit the bay area and Nara—all during my short trip to Osaka. Such an explorer-friendly accommodation to stay at!
