Chiikawa fans planning a trip to Japan this summer have a brand-new destination to add to their itinerary. Chiikawa Bakery is expanding beyond Tokyo for the first time, with the permanent Chiikawa Bakery OSAKA set to open inside KITTE Osaka in Umeda on June 26th, 2026.

Based on the hugely popular bakery that debuted in Tokyo's Harajuku/Omotesando area in 2024, the Osaka location will bring an adorable menu inspired by Nagano's beloved Chiikawa universe. Visitors can expect a lineup of sweet and savory breads, pastries, and desserts themed around Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and other familiar faces from the series.

Among the bakery's most popular items are character-shaped breads filled with custard, chocolate, or caramel cream, alongside sweet honey-flavoured Chiikawa bread, chocolate-infused Hachiware bread, and cheese-filled Usagi bread. Fans can also try unique creations inspired by moments from the manga, including Rou Bread based on the ramen featured in the story, reward bag baked goods, chestnut manju bread, themed rusks, and character-shaped financiers.

To celebrate the Osaka opening, the bakery will also offer an exclusive Chiikawata Kosen Burger, along with limited-edition merchandise including T-shirts, tote bags, and mixed fruit jam available only at the new store.

There are even bonus collectibles for visitors. Guests who spend 2,200 JPY or more will receive a limited-edition Osaka shopper tag while stocks last, while takeaway drink purchases come with a random Osaka-exclusive coaster.

The bakery's breads are produced under the supervision of Junichi Sawada, a baker who represented Japan in the decorative bread category at the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2026 in France.

Located on the third floor of KITTE Osaka, Chiikawa Bakery OSAKA will operate from 11am to 8pm. Advance online reservations (which include a 1,000 JPY shopping voucher) open from June 17th.
