Niigata Prefecture is known for receiving significant amounts of winter snowfall, so much so that it's still visible in some areas later in spring. The Yuzawa Kogen Spring Snow Festival uses this remaining snow to its advantage, with sledding and fun games taking place. There will also be food trucks during the event.

Part of the festival's appeal is getting to enjoy what's left of winter while enjoying the fresh greens of spring, and the views from the event venue are nothing short of spectacular.

Ropeway tickets are required to access the event, which are priced at ¥3,000 for adults and ¥1,500 for children (round trip). Bring yen for any additional food or drink purchases.
Getting there
The event takes place at the Yuzawa Kogen Ropeway Summit's Panorama Station Square. The ropeway boarding station is located close to JR Echigo-Yuzawa Station.
