Royal Copenhagen is a Danish manufacturer of porcelain products, with a history dating all the way back to 1775. A limited-time event at the JW Marriott Hotel Nara will serve afternoon tea on Royal Copenhagen Blue ceramicware, which is often said to be inspired by Asian ceramics.
The afternoon tea has some nods to Danish cuisine, with smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) making up part of the menu items on offer. There are also quiches, scones, and several different desserts including a strawberry and pistachio mousse.

Getting there
The JW Marriott Hotel Nara is located around 20 minutes on foot (or a 5 minute taxi ride) from Nara Station, which is served by the Kansai Main Line (Yamatoji Line), the Nara Line, and the Sakurai Line (Man-yō Mahoroba Line).
For those who opt to drive, paid parking is available at the hotel at a cost of 2000 yen per day.
