To celebrate the spooky season, Nagasaki's Huis Ten Bosch theme park is hosting a Halloween event that runs up until November 4th. The event includes a uniquely crafted Halloween menu, a variety of Halloween goods available for purchase (including a limited quantity of Halloween Miffy plush toys), a costume contest, dedicated photo spots, and plenty more.
Visitors who stay until the sun goes down can also enjoy the numerous Halloween-themed illuminations decorating the park.
More details about the full Halloween event lineup can be found on the official Huis Ten Bosch website here.
Getting there
For those visiting the area via public transport, Huis Ten Bosch Station (Ōmura Line) serves the theme park. The journey takes around 90 minutes from Nagasaki Station.
For those who opt to drive, paid on site parking is available. Parking costs differ by vehicle size, but a small car is priced at 800 yen per day.
