Tenryu-ji Temple and the nearby Sagano Bamboo Grove are justly famous for their year-round beauty. Visit in autumn and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. Go there in spring to partake of Japan's glorious cherry blossoms. Besides that, there are Zen gardens, and fresh green bamboo trees to experience. Coming here, you know you are in Japan! In summer, there is a small lotus pond that is surely beautiful to see. When I visited in April, the lotus leaves were brown and dead, but still beautiful in their own way. One other bonus: Beautiful women in beautiful kimono can be seen in and around the temple all year long!
