The art collective Naked has gained notoriety for hosting incredible light and projection mapping events, and a new one coming to Kyoto's Heian Shrine this December is bound to follow that precedent. Naked Yorumode Heian Jingu includes a brightly illuminated Oten-mon Gate (the front gate of the shrine), along with various light and sound displays at the shrine's Main Hall, Souryu-rou Tower, and garden grounds.

The event also provides an inventive way of keeping a level of social distance from others -- the Naked Distance Lanterns ® project beautiful light circles on the ground, giving an indication of how far from others you should stand.

Even sanitizing your hands is done in style at this event, with flower projections displayed on visitors' palms as the sanitizer is dispensed.
