Venue : Minatomirai, Nishi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 220-0012, Japan When : Apr 26th - May 6th 2025

Back by popular demand, Star Wars Day Yokohama Minatomirai returns this spring, bringing a galaxy of excitement to Yokohama’s Minato Mirai district. After attracting nearly two million visitors in 2024, this year’s event promises even more immersive content, hands-on fun, and Star Wars-themed surprises for fans of all ages.

The celebration culminates on May 4th, known around the world as "Star Wars Day." The name is a twist on the iconic line from the films, "May the Force be with you," transformed into "May the 4th be with you." Throughout the event period, venues including Landmark Plaza, MARK IS Minatomirai, Grand Mall Park, and Yokohama City Hall will be transformed into Star Wars-themed zones, offering a variety of experiences.

Visitors can explore life-size LEGO recreations of the Millennium Falcon cockpit and speeder bikes, take part in droid coloring activities, and build their own starships to contribute to a giant galactic wall. Fans can also enjoy live Star Wars music, meet costumed characters, and sample themed food from a fleet of food trucks. For those wanting to relive the movies, Lawson United Cinema STYLE-S Minatomirai will screen all nine episodes of the saga using high-tech seats, equipped with built-in sound and vibration for an unforgettable viewing experience.

Additionally, Landmark Plaza will host an exhibit of Star Wars ukiyo-e art created for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration Japan, alongside detailed model displays. Both Landmark Plaza and MARK IS Minatomirai will feature pop-up shops selling exclusive merchandise, and a stamp rally will reward participants with limited-edition Star Wars stickers.
