If you visit Kamakura (and you should!) be sure that you do not miss seeing the famous Daibutsu - or Great Buddha - statue at Kotoku-in Temple. So much has been written about it, but unless you see it with your own eyes it will be impossible to understand what all the fuss is about. Daibutsu is big, but not huge. I see dignity and compassion, as well as intelligence and strength. Take a look yourself, and tell me what you find!
