Garmin is a company that specializes in GPS technology, with a particular focus on wearable fitness trackers that are loved by runners of all levels. It may not come as a surprise, then, that the company is hosting the Garmin Run Japan event – and it includes both a 5 kilometer and a 10 kilometer route.
600 runners will be accepted for both routes, and applications can be made via the official event website – they'll be open from September 15th (Friday) until October 27th (Friday), 2023. The participation fee for either route is ¥3300. Please note that if you are trying to set a personal best, you'll need to bring your own manual tracking device such as a Garmin watch – there will be no automatic timing system on-site.
Getting there
The event takes place at Rinko Park in Yokohama, which is located under 10 minutes on foot from Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line.
