TeamLab is a renowned digital art collective that merges technology, art, and nature to create immersive experiences, and they have both temporary and permanent installations at various destinations across Japan. This autumn, a limited-time exhibit will be headed to Ishikawa Prefecture – the TeamLab Kanazawa Castle Light Festival.
Held at the Kanazawa Castle Park, the event is set to include projection mapping of plants and animals on the walls of Kanazawa Castle and Gojukken Nagaya (a historic structure which was once used as a weapons warehouse), plus other interactive displays which are influenced by wind, rain, and even people's touch.
As yet, no admission fee to the event has been specified.
Getting there
The Kanazawa Castle Park can be conveniently accessed via the Kanazawa Loop Bus from Kanazawa Station. The station itself is served by various train lines, including the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Hokuriku Main Line, and the Hokutetsu Asanogawa Line to name just a few.
