The TeamLab digital art collective need no introduction at this point – they're the masterminds behind popular installations such as TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, plus a variety of pop-up events that have brought light and color to different parts of Japan.
The TeamLab Kanazawa Castle Light Festival is the latest addition to their digital art repertoire, and the event starts in late September. Various parts of the castle grounds such as the stone walls and trees will be illuminated, and their famous resonating ovoids will also be on display – they're interactive and change color when touched.
Getting there
Kanazawa Castle is located around 10 minutes by taxi from Kanazawa Station, which is served by various lines including the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Hokuriku Main Line, and the Ishikawa Railway Line.
Several bus routes also depart from the station to the castle, including the Kanazawa Loop Bus.
