Venue : Hitachi Seaside Park When : Apr 1st - Jun 1st 2025, 9:30am - 5:00pm

Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture is welcoming the season with Flowering 2025, a spring festival running from the beginning of April until the beginning of June. Known for its sweeping seasonal displays, the park will showcase a spectacular “flower relay,” with blooms appearing in waves as if they were passing a baton to one another.

Spanning over 200 hectares, Hitachi Seaside Park is a floral wonderland year-round, but spring is widely regarded as its most iconic season. Visitors can admire 1 million daffodils, nearly 300 varieties of tulips, and a stunning blanket of 5.3 million nemophila across Miharashi Hill, before ending the season with over 3,000 rose bushes bursting into color.

Weekends during the festival are packed with activities for all ages, including guided tours, flower-themed crafts, and special events like the Ibaraki City Greening Festival (April 27), The World of Brass 2025 (May 5), and Spring Rose Concerts (May 24 & 31).

Seasonal treats also take center stage, with local specialties like grilled ham and Hitachi beef steak bowls, along with colorful sweets like Nemophila Blue Soft Serve available for visitors to enjoy. Don’t miss the exclusive souvenirs, including pressed flower accessories, keychains, and handmade cookies inspired by the park’s signature blooms.
