The Tamba-Sasayama area of Hyogo Prefecture is known for Tamba ware, which is one of Japan's most noteworthy types of ceramics. The Tamba Yaki Pottery Festival has been running for almost half a century, and approximately 50 different potteries will be taking part in the event.
Attendees can take advantage of bargain pottery prices, try their hand at pottery wheel experiences, and connect with the makers of the items available for purchase.
Please note that some, but not all potteries accept card payments. It's advisable to bring yen if you plan on making purchases just to be safe.
