Venue To Be Decided

When Early - Late Apr 2026

Please note that as yet, the venue and exact dates in April 2026 have not yet been announced. Keep an eye on the official website for updates as the timeframe gets closer.

In April 2026, Swatch Nines SNOW will make its Asian debut in Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost prefecture. Known for merging freestyle snow sports with cutting-edge visual storytelling, the event offers a unique format that prioritizes creativity over competition.

Unlike traditional contests, Swatch Nines invites top international skiers and snowboarders to ride a custom-built snow structure designed for experimentation. There are no rankings or medals, just space for athletes to push their skills in a purpose-built environment. Performances are captured by expert film crews and photographers, with content distributed across social platforms to a global audience.

Past events have drawn over 235 million views online and 1.2 billion media impressions, with clips frequently going viral on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The blend of high-level performance and cinematic production has made Swatch Nines a standout event for Gen Z and millennial viewers, as well as a strong platform for brands aiming to reach a younger, digitally engaged audience. You can get an idea of what to expect from the video below.

Hokkaido’s deep snow and dramatic terrain make it an ideal setting for the event’s first appearance in Asia. The 2026 edition is expected to feature around 50 elite athletes and a large creative team, all contributing to a project designed as much for the camera as for the crowd.
