There are buildings on all levels. You can enter the distant building through a side entrance and enjoy the view from the belvedere

Daisho-in is a good place to experience the changing seasons

Miyajima's Daisho-in Temple makes a spectacular gateway to Mt. Misen. The temple is a large complex of beautiful buildings on many different levels, with the mountain rising immediately behind. Daisho-in stands next to one of the main hiking routes up to Mt. Misen. There's a panoramic view down to the sea from the topmost temple building.
