Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture is perhaps best known for being the headquarters of the Toyota Motor Corporation, which is one of the world's largest car manufacturers. It's also a bit of a gem for sakura hunting, and the Toyota Tourism Association recently provided some tips on the area's best places to enjoy cherry blossom season.
If you'll be in the Aichi area during spring, these are their recommendations!
Suigen Park
Suigen Park is one of Toyota City's leading cherry blossom viewing spots, with around 400 cherry trees planted on the banks of the Yahagi River which flows through the park. Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is available along the river, allowing an appreciation of the blossoms from a truly unique vantage point!
