Located in Aizu Shimogou, there is a cozy cafe where you can relax and have a bite to eat before continuing your journey. It is called Station Cafe Shimogou.
It is very easy to find because the cafe is located in the Aizu Shimogou Station. Go though the doorway, pass the ticket counter, make a right, and there you will find the entrance. They serve what they call a Masu Burger (masu means trout in Japanese), their number one dish. They take pride in their trout burgers because they use trout caught in Shimogou and red perilla frutescens pickles kneaded into the buns, creating a distinct flavor. There are also a slice of tomato, lettuce, and onions to maintain a good balance for your diet. They also have other snacks available: pizza toast, french fries, and spaghetti. For dessert: you can enjoy apple pie and ice cream! They also have drinks available for when you want to quench your thirst after the long journey.
The cafe is open seven days a week from 9:00~16:30.
This is great place for you wait for the next available train, or when you want to enjoy afternoon tea with a friend.
