Odo Park

A spot of seaside greenery

Odo Park is one of Fukuoka’s amazing green spaces. For the first time I visited a park on the sea, where pine trees spilled out on to a sandy shore. This quiet park located in Odo is just a 10 minute walk from Marinoa City, so if you’re hankering after a tranquil picnic Odo Park makes the perfect getaway. It’s combination of a subtle sea breeze, dozens of crabs and even a hidden shrine makes this place feel like it was taken straight out of a Ghibli movie. For an authentic Japanese experience, rent a barbeque, let the kids play, sit back and listen to the cicadas.

Hi, I'm a University student from England. I like art, quiet coffee shops and of course travelling. I hope some of my finds can inspire you to explore Japan, and introduce some of the wonderful experiences and cultural heritage the country offers.
