The Itoshima Peninsula’s Keya Beach (video) is Fukuoka’s little piece of paradise. Far enough away from the city to have clear water and fewer people, but close enough to get there in an hour, this resort is the area’s best. Take a visual tour here of the green mountains, striking boulders, smooth sand, smooth waters served by trendy beach houses and cafés. Experience fun in the sun all summer long, with the three-day music festival Sunset Live being the grand finale each September.
