Each year at Ehime's Tomisuyama Park, over 60,000 azaleas burst into bloom from around late April through May. Along with the beautiful azaleas in various colors to enjoy, the park grounds offer some wonderfully scenic views out over the surrounding mountains, the Osu Basin, and the Hijikawa River.

The azaleas are definitely the highlight of spring here, but there are also cherry blossoms and wisteria to enjoy at different points in the season.

For those who are visiting the park with children, you'll also find play equipment and bathroom facilities on-site. Admission is free.

Getting there

Ehime's Tomisuyama Park is located around 10 minutes by taxi (or around an hour on foot, if you're feeling energetic) from Iyo Ōzu Station, served by the Yosan Line.

For those who plan on driving, the park is under 15 minutes (around 7.5km) from the Ozu IC on the Matsuyama Expressway. Free parking is available on-site.
