The cooling properties of mud have been recognized throughout history in traditional practices and cultures worldwide, and a one-day event this summer will focus not only on mud-based fun, but on sustainable production and consumption.
The Mud Land Fes is set to include live music performances with a mud-floored dance area for attendees to revel in, activities like mud yoga and mud slides, and organic vegetable harvesting experiences.
Tickets to the event are priced at 5500 JPY for early-bird tickets, 6500 JPY for advance tickets, and 7500 JPY for on the day tickets. Please note that if all advance tickets are sold out, same-day tickets will not be available. Tickets can be arranged online via Peatix here.
Getting there
The Mud Land Fes takes place at Chiba's Tagayasu Club farmland, which can be accessed in around 10 minutes by taxi from Yachimata Station on the Sobu Main Line. A shuttle service will also be operating from both Shinjuku Station and Yachimata Station to the venue for festival attendees.
