The Inzai Illuminations are a relatively new annual event which commenced back in 2018. The event has grown year after year, and in 2021, approximately half a million lights will decorate the area outside Chiba New Town Chuo Station – an impressive increase from around 200,000 lights in 2020.
There will be three main illumination areas at the station – the north exit is the "city zone", the south exit is the "natural zone", and the front of the station is the "city-nature harmony zone". These zones are intended to capture the characteristics of Inzai City in light-form.
This year's event (2021) runs from November 13th until February 20th - please check the official Inzai City website for details in future years.
Getting there
Chiba New Town Chuo Station is served by the Hosuko Railway's Hokuso Line, and the Keisei Electric Railway's Narita Sky Access Line.
For those who opt to drive, there are several different parking lots surrounding the station area.
