For over 20 years, the story of Harry Potter—both J.K. Rowling’s book series and the adapted movie franchise—has enamored millions of people globally with its enchanting world and magical tale of heroism and friendship. When the movies were released, adults and children alike watched wide-eyed as young Harry boarded the Hogwarts Express and began his journey to the mystical school of Hogwarts.

Don your cloak and secure your wand. Let’s dive in, or rather, let’s apparate in.
Leave Tokyo, and Step into the Wizarding World
Experience “movie magic” like never before with the Studio Tour’s breathtaking movie sets—complete with original props and costumes. These sets were made by world renowned creators who were involved in the production of the Harry Potter movies.
Pose with a trolley cart that is seemingly going through the wall at Platform 9 ¾, board the Hogwarts Express, walk through Hogwarts’ iconic Great Hall, stand in Dumbledore’s eclectic office, admire the rustic storefronts of Diagon Alley, venture into the Forbidden Forest, and much more! Each set is embellished with painstaking details—enhancing their authenticity and believability—making you feel as though the iconic trio will join the scene at any moment.
During your travels, you will meet friendly faces, such as the hippogriff, Buckbeak, as well as darker creatures, including Aragog and Dementors. Fans of the Fantastic Beasts series can also explore how the movies’ otherworldly creatures were designed in a series of videos and enjoy an exhibit of lively Bowtruckles.
Perhaps the Studio Tour’s most intricate display is the Hogwarts castle model, which is a recreation of the model used for exterior shots in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Needless to say, the attention to detail is unparalleled.
Push Beyond the Limits of Muggle Life
Aside from its movie sets, the Studio Tour also offers a number of interactive experiences to further immerse visitors in the Wizarding World.
Climb atop a broomstick and—with green screen technology—fly over London’s cityscape. You can also join a crowd for a heated Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, and pose for a moving portrait displayed in Hogwarts’ hallway.
Shop for Wizarding Wares
With its wide variety of Wizarding World merchandise and Tokyo-exclusive items, the Studio Tour Shop is truly a Potterhead’s paradise. The shop is divided into 14 themed sections decorated with over 7,000 custom-made items! You will find beautiful detailing reminiscent of Diagon Alley shops, including Honeydukes, Olivanders, and Flourish and Blotts.
Enjoy Magical Cuisine
What is a Harry Potter experience without some food staples from the Wizarding World? During your visit, enjoy a number of artfully crafted sweets at the Chocolate Frog Cafe, pick up a quick bite at the Backlot Cafe, treat yourself to afternoon tea inspired by Professor Umbridge, have some British cuisine in the food hall, and of course, grab a cup of Butterbeer at the world’s largest Butterbeer Bar!
