Sky High in Aomori's ASPAM

In and around the Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center

A is for Aomori, apples, and ASPAM. No matter how long you plan to stay in Aomori City, there are countless places to go, one of which is the Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center, or ASPAM, Aomori Prefecture Sightseeing Products Mansion.

A short 8-minute walk from Aomori Station, ASPAM has a rather abstract architectural design, and its distinctive A-shaped silhouette is difficult to overlook. It houses a wide range of local produce shops, souvenir stores, restaurants, a panorama movie theater, and an observation deck on the 13th floor. The observation deck provides a thorough and breathtaking 360-degrees view of Aomori Bay and Aomori City.

From ASPAM, you can then begin to plan your next destination in Aomori after gathering some information from the first floor Tourist Information Desk. So what are you waiting for? ASPAM awaits your arrival.
