Step into the mystical world of Japan’s most famous yokai as Yokai Immersive arrives in Nagoya City from July 19th to September 23rd, 2025. This groundbreaking event brings folklore’s legendary creatures to life through cutting-edge digital technology, creating a unique interactive experience.
Visitors will be able to delve deep into the realm of yokai art, with the event featuring masterpieces like Yagyaku Emaki (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons), Hundred Tales, and depictions of iconic beings such as Oni, Tengu, Kappa, and Tsukumogami. Originally crafted by Edo and Meiji-period artists, these works are reimagined with 3D computer graphics, projection mapping, and holographic screens, blending mythology with modern innovation.

Additionally, special collaborations with Nishio City Iwase Bunko (Japan’s first antiquarian book museum) and the Shodoshima Yokai Art Museum will showcase rare paintings, caricatures, and historical artifacts, tracing the deep-rooted influence of these supernatural beings on contemporary pop culture.
Adding to the excitement, visitors can join a Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, walking alongside digital yokai in a mesmerizing art space that bridges myth and reality.
Tickets will be available at major convenience stores and online platforms, with further details regarding pricing to be announced soon. For more information, visit the official website or follow along on Instagram at @yokaiimmersive.
