Each year in late April through to early May, Aichi's Tennogawa Park is home to a wisteria festival which celebrates these beautiful seasonal blooms. A number of the wisteria trellises at the park hang over the water, creating a whimsical, dreamlike scene. In typical years, the event also includes music performances, food vendors, and evening illuminations until 9 pm.

As is the case with any flower festival, the dates can shift slightly from year to year depending on blooming conditions, and it's advisable to check the official website for confirmation closer to the event. Based on previous years, plan for around April 24th until May 5th (the end of Golden Week).

Admission to the park is free of charge.

Getting there

Tennogawa Park is located around 10 minutes on foot (or a 5 minute taxi ride) from Tsushima Station, served by the Tsushima Line and the Bisai Line.

Alternatively, for those who plan to drive, paid parking is available at the venue.
