From late March to early April each year, Aichi's Tsuruma Park is filled with the pretty pink hue of over 700 Somei Yoshino cherry trees in bloom. The park was designated as one of Japan's Top 100 sakura viewing destinations, and is also on the list of the country's Top 100 Historic Scenic Parks.

In typical years, the park grounds are home to illumination events and numerous food trucks when the trees are at their best, providing a fun and jovial atmosphere. You'll also see many people setting up picnics to enjoy under the blooms, so feel free to pack some eats, drinks, and a blanket so you can do the same!

Admission to the park is free of charge.

Getting there

Tsuruma Park is located just a minute on foot from the JR Tsurumai Station, served by the Chūō Main Line.

For those who opt to drive to the venue, paid on-site parking is available.
