From September 29th until October 4th, Nagoya Takashimaya is bringing a slice of the Big Apple to Japan with their New York Fair. 32 different stores at the venue will be taking part in the event, which will include American-style foods (think burgers, chicken and waffles, and decadent thick shakes), merchandise like t-shirts and tote bags emblazoned with New York motifs available for purchase, themed photo spots, and even an outside area set up like an American sports bar.
For those who are missing travel, there will also be a virtual New York City sightseeing experience at the venue on October 2nd (Sat), 3rd (Sun), 9th (Sat), and 10th (Sun).
Getting there
The Nagoya Takashima department store is located within the JR Central Towers building at Nagoya Station.
The station is served by numerous lines, including the JR Tokaido Shinkansen, Tokaido Main Line, Chuo Main Line, and Kansai Main Line.
